I have been playing with my new idea, Stand In Groom, and the heroine is a maker of fine cupcakes. This has involved much research on the net and drooling over many mouthwatering recipes.
My research went further today when hubby surprised me with a delicious chocolate with chocolate butter cream icing cupcake from a place near where he was working for the day. He'd listened to me tell him about my heroine - definite hero behaviour!
I think I'll have to make some of the delicious recipes I've found... just what my diet needs.
Anyone been forced to eat yummy food in the name of research?
I don't need research to eat a good cupcake!! LOL. But what a mighty fine excuse!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my GOODNESS - HUGE HERO AWARD FOR YOUR LOVELY HUBBY!!!
ReplyDeleteHe definitely deserves some home-baked treats :)
I love the cupcake craze I've even bought cookbooks for them but I haven't actually made them... hmmm... maybe I just like looking at the pictures? lol! Yum Yum Yum.
ReplyDeleteCupcakes are yum! But 85% dark chocolate is even better. Apparently the higher the percentage of cocoa solids in the chocolate, the better it is for you. All good!
ReplyDeleteI've researched recipes for gourmet sandwiches that my heroine makes at her B&B (yummm) but haven't made any of them...yet.
ReplyDeleteLike Mel I don't need the excuse of research to enjoy food. But she's right, it's a very good excuse! Enjoy the research Becca.
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for your hubby.
Mel - i don't need the excuse either but it helps lessen th guilt!
ReplyDeleteRach - i think you're right, i should make those choc mousse cupcakes for hubby... but i'd need to taste test so i know they're decent!
Lacey - any to die for recipes in there i should try?
Jackie - only since i've tried to diet have i eaten dark choc. The theory being that the stronger flavour makes for eating less. I'll keep eating and try to work out if it's true.
Marcy - get cooking, it's for the research!
Eleni - he was in the good books after that one.
Aw lovely hubby :-)
ReplyDeleteNo cupcakes but I did sample a fair few wines for my winemaking Italian Australian hero!
